Growing up, I heard countless stories from my Grandma, uncles and cousins about their travels around the world. As the youngest in the family, I dreamed of one day seeing the world, like my older cousins, and returning home with exotic stories from foreign lands. When given the opportunity to study at Arcadia University, a small liberal arts college with exceptional international programs, I got my passport and took off. Toilet Paper for Peanuts tells the story of my travels during college, both university study abroad programs and when I was "off the grid" on my own. After graduation, I joined Teach for America and moved to the Texas-Mexico border. My passion for travel followed me into the classroom where I taught World Geography and shared stories and pictures from my travels with my students. It's been a dream of mine to make a collective tale of my adventures and this book is the result of that passion. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed living it!
